Phil Petroska - Owner / Inspector of North Country Home Inspections

Phil Petroska is a full-time, independent home inspector who has performed hundreds of home inspections since 2001 for his real estate clients as well as major insurance companies such as Metropolitan Property and Casualty, Chubb,  OneBeacon Insurance Group, State Farm, National Grange, Amica, Peerless and many others.

Phil is a certified home inspector recognized by the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors (NACHI) and is a member of the Maine Coalition of Home Inspection Professionals (MeCHIPs).  In addition, he has been certified by the American Home Inspectors Training Institute (AHIT) and has successfully passed the National Home Inspector Examination, which is recognized and required for licensing by the 16 states currently requiring licensing (including Massachusetts and Rhode Island; Maine and New Hampshire currently have no licensing requirements). 

Phil is a registered radon measurement provider, certified by the state of Maine.  He is a Certified Onsite Subsurface Wastewater Disposal System Inspector, certified by the Maine Department of Health & Human Services.  In addition, Phil is a Certified Mold Inspector, certified by Environmental Soluitions Association (ESA).

In 2007, North Country Home Inspections became a member of the Better Business Bureau serving eastern Mass., Maine and Vermont.  Our Member Reliability Report is available online.  Also in 2007, we became a member of the Greater Bridgton Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce.

Since 1984, Phil has been privately and professionally renovating homes.  His most extensive renovation was a colonial home built in 1762.  Click here for more information about that renovation project.

Phil and his wife, Ann, are currently renovating their 100+ year old home on the shores of Long Lake in Harrison, Maine.  They hope to restore it to it's former entity as a Bed & Breakfast (it was really a boarding house, but a B&B sounds better!).
